Email sent by Petitioner Adrienne Rockenhaus from [email protected] to Federal Defender
Kaycee Berente on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 11:14 AM, with subject line “NOTICE OF
EVIDENCE: Documented History of Sexual Assault and Facilitated Violence.” Petitioner states in the
first sentence that she is filing the PPO “at 8:00 AM tomorrow” (i.e., February 13, 2026). The PPO was
not actually filed until February 20, 2026, eight days after the announced filing date.
Relevance:
This email proves that the PPO was being used as leverage, not filed in response to fear. A person in
genuine fear of imminent harm files the PPO at the first available opportunity. Petitioner announced
filing “at 8:00 AM tomorrow” and did not file for eight additional days. The intervening period included
Petitioner's public Valentine's Day post directed to Respondent (see Exhibit 4). The email also
introduces allegations of sexual assault and Viagra-facilitated coercion that appear nowhere in
Petitioner's prior contemporaneous correspondence (see Exhibits 9, 10) and were deployed as
threat-ammunition to a federal defender rather than reported to law enforcement at the time of the
alleged incidents.
